From J. Michael Bone PhD--Parental Alienation

I am glad to report another unlikely "victory" in the court. A Judge recently gave custody of a severely alienated teen to their targeted parent, after important testimony from the parental alienation savvy therapist. Additionally, the court ordered that the alienating parent in the case have no contact with the child for a significant period of time so as to allow the child to return to their normal state. Ultimately, of course the goal is for this child to have a relationship with both parents, and to be armed with the tools to deflect further alienation. This is a case where no one was optimistic that such a remedy could be realistically achieved. The healing can now begin ( granted, with a few bumps along the way). I think we are making progress; albeit, one case at a time.
