What is Parental Alienation or Hostile Aggressive Parenting?

What is parental alienation or hostile aggressive parenting? It is a group of behaviors that are damaging to children's mental and emotional well being. These behaviors whether verbal or non-verbal cause a child to be mentally manipulated or bullied into believing a loving parent is the cause of their problems. These damaging actions, by the alienating parent, are a form of child abuse. Denying children contact with loving family members can create a frightening atmosphere that robs children of their sense of security and safety.                                (copied from PAAO USA OHIO)
